HEALTH
AT EVERY SIZE JOURNAL
Editors:
Wayne C. Miller, Ph.D. & Jon Robison, Ph.D.,
M.S.
This journal begins its 19th year under new
ownership as a Gurze Books publication. It offers
research, theory, and practice supporting the
Health at Every Size (HAES) movement
and is written to help health professionals
understand and practice this compassionate and
effective non-dieting approach to resolving
weight and eating-related concerns. Recognizing
that these issues are complex and sometimes
controversial, this journal brings together
scientific information from many sources using
a HAES perspective. Weight is an easily exploited
health and social concern and the editors are
committed to exposing deception, reshaping social
attitudes, and promoting good health for people
of every size.
Previously
known as the Healthy Weight Journal,
this publication will continue with the same
editorial advisory board, which includes such
noteworthy experts as Debby Burgard, Frances
Berg, Glenn Gaesser, Karin Katrina, Pat Lyons,
and many others. Each issue has a single theme,
such as exercise and health, protecting our
children, and diversity and weightism.
